ORIGINAL PAINTINGS – PRINTS – COMMISSIONS
Thank you for visiting this site. Peter is an artist who paints abstract and semi-abstract pictures inspired by scenes in his home county of Dorset as well as extensive travels to countries abroad. His pictures are influenced by three factors – capturing the essence of the subject, an emotional response, and energy in the way he uses the chosen medium. Peter’s paintings have appeared in many galleries across the UK, in private collections and his prints have been sold in the US. We very much hope you like what you see!
Peter says,
I trained in graphic design at Manchester Art College. (A pretty whacky time!) After a brief spell in advertising I left to start a design consultancy which I ran for 14 years. (Some seriously big clients!)
After a few years away from the art world I realised fine art was for me and I had my first one-man-exhibition in 2007. (Very nervous!)
I think in pictures all the time and love the excitement of seeing possibilities in landscapes and exploring the use of colours and their reactions when put together.
